Job Description
Vector's partner in Painesville, Ohio manufactures protein based ingredients and private label products. They have a open Utility General Labor positions, perfect for someone who works well autonomously.
Available Shifts:
2nd Shift
3rd Shift
6a-6p 4-on/4-off shift
6p-6a 4-on/4-off shift
$18/hr. to start
Upon Hire-In, workers on 2nd, 3rd, or the 6p-6a shift will receive a $2.00/hr. shift diff. increase.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Ensure that containers are available for machine cleanings. Remove and store full containers in designated locations.
- Participate in equipment and physical plant cleaning as assigned and scheduled. Maintain access to safety equipment. Includes confined space cleanouts upon completion of confined space training.
- Report irregularities to supervisor; including faulty equipment, defective materials and unusual conditions.
- Understand hazards; follow safety and personal protective equipment standards; attend safety seminars and meetings as required.
- Report accident or injury immediately. Intervene in unsafe situations; report unsafe conditions or equipment.
- Communicate during emergency -- distinguish alarms and audible signals, execute emergency shutdown.
- Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and housekeeping of Terminal and Hydro tank areas such that all walkways, driving surfaces, pumping spaces, and storage areas are clean and free of debris. Also ensure that all tools are in good working order and stored properly. This includes responsibility for completing daily cleaning check lists and ensuring that no harborage areas such as weeds or other materials are near any structure.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to periodically work at heights (using ladders) and in the elements
