To perform routine checks, tests, gauging, and inspection duties of the Quality Department. To provide support to Shop Floor product acceptance activities. Also work in a team environment with all company departments.



  • Performs assigned quality tests on materials, goods in process, or finished goods where results are compared with company quality standards. Reports results to supervisor that will make an analysis and take necessary action.
  • Inspects visually for obvious defects
  • Performs detailed visual inspection when necessary to determine quality of product where limits are not clearly defined.
  • Approves First and Last piece production runs.
  • Notifies supervisor when inspection data exceeds acceptable limits or when major incidents of poor quality are noted.
  • Stop production of defective parts
  • Records results on inspection forms or charts and reports number of defects found. Posts and maintains forms and charts of inspection data, quality levels, or special quality studies.
  • Makes recommendation on disposition of questionable parts to supervisor.
  • Perform inspections to written, verbal instructions
  • Interact with Engineering, Manufacturing and Shipping personnel
  • Identify incoming components and outside services as to acceptance status.
  • Identify, segregate and control non-conforming material as identified
  • Assist in SPC Data Collection
  • Assist in ISIR Submission Package Development
  • Assist in gage R & R's
  • Qualification and control of 1s{ and last piece product for production runs
  • Complete 100% layouts as directed
  • Wash line Quality Checks
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned


  • Maintain a good attendance record
  • Knowledge in Basic Metrology
  • Ability to read and interpret Blue Prints
  • Ability to interpret and communicate instructions to shop floor personnel
  • Basic understanding of SPC
  • Knowledge in usage of CMM
  • Dexterity and preciseness required operating gauges and testing equipment.
  • Considerable mental and visual effort.
  • Strong interpersonal skills




  • High School Graduate
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a quality inspection environment
  • Basic computer skills




  • Possess good hand-eye coordination
  • Possess good small and large motor skills
  • Visual ability to spot defective parts.
  • Walking/standing, up to eight hours.
  • Carry or lift up to 50 pounds
  • Maintain a good working pace for an entire shift
  • Must be able to work in a noisy environment using requirement personal protective equipment.
  • Vision/Hearing: Must have at least 20/20 vision or corrected to at least 20/20. Hearing within normal range.
  • Be able to tolerate heat and cold.
