Vector Technical has partnered with one of the leading suppliers of metal in Solon, Ohio and they are looking for a Shipping and Logistics Coordinator to join their team!

Shift: 1^st 8:30a-5p 
Up to $24/hr., depending upon experience and skills

Summary:  
The Shipping & Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing day-to-day transportation and distribution activities to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective movement of goods. This role serves as the primary liaison between internal teams, third-party logistics providers (3PLs), carriers, and customers, coordinating both inbound and outbound shipments, including domestic and international freight. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in resolving logistics challenges while maintaining excellent communication with all stakeholders. 

Responsibilities:  

• Coordinate and manage outbound and inbound shipments with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and carriers  
• Create and process shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOLs), packing lists, and shipping labels  
• Schedule and track truckload (TL), less-than-truckload (LTL), and parcel shipments to ensure on-time delivery  
• Prepare and manage documentation for international shipments, including commercial invoices, export paperwork, and customs compliance requirements  
• Communicate shipment status, delays, and delivery updates to customers and internal teams  
• Collaborate with warehouse, production, and customer service teams to align shipping schedules and priorities  
• Ensure accuracy of freight billing and assist with freight cost tracking and reconciliation  
• Monitor carrier performance and proactively address service issues  
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, freight documentation, and logistics activities  
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies within the logistics function 
• Performs other duties and assignments as directed by management. 

Requirements:  

• 2+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain coordination  
• Experience working with 3PL providers and freight carriers  
• Knowledge of domestic and international shipping processes and documentation 
• Familiarity with Bills of Lading, freight terms, and Incoterms is preferred  
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail  
• Excellent communication and customer service skills  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook); experience with ERP or TMS systems is a plus
• Ability to work with others in a team environment.
