Job Description

Vector's partner in Medina, OH has been in the manufacturing business for well over 100 years.  They are looking for the right fit to fill their role of Freight Coordinator. 

1st Shift (7a-3p)
$18-20/hr., depending on experience

Responsibilities:                               

* Plan, implement and manage transportation strategies, policies, and procedures 
* Manage daily transportation operations, including route planning, carrier selection, and freight consolidation 
* Ensure all shipments are compliant with local, state, and federal regulations 
* Coordinate with carriers and logistics providers to ensure timely delivery of goods 
* Monitor shipment progress and communicate any issues or delays to internal teams and customers 
* Analyze transportation data and performance metrics to identify areas for 
improvement and cost savings 
* Work closely with internal teams, including sales, purchasing, and production, to ensure seamless coordination of logistics 
* Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and logistics providers 

Requirements:
 * 3+ years of experience in transportation and logistics 
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and transportation management software 
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment 
* Detail-oriented and organized 
* Ability to read, write and perform basic math 
* High School Diploma or GED required
