Job Description
Vector's partner is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Quality Control & Inventory Coordinator to oversee the inspection, documentation, and management of all incoming materials and outgoing products. This position serves as the company's primary quality checkpoint, ensuring purchased materials meet specifications before entering production and verifying completed products meet company quality standards before shipment.
1st Shift (7a-3:30p) M-F
Pay is dependent upon experience
Overtime may be required
Responsibilities:
- Inspect all incoming raw materials, purchased components, and commercial items to verify they meet company specifications and purchase order requirements.
- Verify quantities, part numbers, dimensions, and overall condition of incoming materials.
- Identify damaged, incorrect, or non-conforming materials and coordinate corrective action with purchasing and suppliers.
- Maintain inspection records and documentation for incoming materials.
- Perform final inspections on completed products prior to shipment.
- Verify finished products are complete, accurate, and meet customer specifications.
- Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and shipment documentation before products leave the facility.
- Work closely with engineering and production to resolve quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
- Become proficient with ERP system to maintain inventory records
- Maintain accurate inventory levels of raw materials, purchased components, consumables, and finished goods.
- Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to purchasing.
- Ensure inventory transactions are accurately recorded in the ERP system.
- Receive incoming deliveries and inspect them before acceptance.
- Coordinate unloading and storage of materials.
- Verify outgoing shipments match customer orders.
- Prepare shipping documentation and coordinate with carriers.
- Assist with packaging and loading products for shipment.
- Stage completed products for inspection and shipment.
- Maintain organized storage locations throughout the facility.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives involving inventory control and quality assurance.
- 2-5 years of experience in quality control, inventory management, manufacturing, or warehouse operations.
- Experience inspecting manufactured parts using drawings, specifications, and using measuring tools.
- Understanding of inventory control procedures and cycle counting.
- Experience with ERP or inventory management software.
- Forklift experience or certification preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings is preferred.
