Production Supervisor
Direct Hire
1st Shift  Monday-Friday, with occasional weekend overtime as production needs require
Up to $25+/hour, depending on experience

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations within a specialized metal finishing and processing environment. This position is responsible for coordinating production activities, supervising employees, maintaining workflow, and helping ensure that quality, safety, productivity, and customer requirements are consistently met.
The ideal candidate will have previous manufacturing or production leadership experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment. Experience with chemical processing, metal finishing, coating, plating, passivation, or similar operations is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of production employees on 1st shift.

• Assign work, establish priorities, and ensure production schedules and customer deadlines are met.

• Monitor workflow throughout the department and adjust staffing or priorities as needed.

• Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, training, and direction to production employees.

• Ensure employees follow established work instructions, operating procedures, and quality requirements.

• Monitor production quality and help identify and resolve processing or workmanship issues.

• Maintain a strong focus on workplace safety, proper chemical handling, and use of required personal protective equipment.

• Work closely with management, quality, shipping, and other departments to keep production moving efficiently.

• Assist with troubleshooting production, equipment, processing, and scheduling issues.

• Track production progress and communicate delays, quality concerns, staffing issues, or other problems to management.

• Help maintain an organized, clean, and efficient production environment.

• Ensure employees properly complete required production and quality documentation.

• Support continuous improvement efforts related to productivity, quality, workflow, and safety.

• Assist with training and development of new and existing employees.

• Lead by example and maintain a professional, team-oriented work environment.

• Be available for occasional weekend overtime when required to meet production demands.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor, Team Lead, Production Lead, or similar leadership role preferred.

• Manufacturing or industrial production experience required.

• Experience in chemical processing, metal finishing, coatings, plating, passivation, phosphate coating, or related processes is a plus.

• Ability to supervise employees while also being willing to work hands-on when needed.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to prioritize multiple jobs and meet production deadlines.

• Strong communication and leadership skills.

• Ability to read and follow work instructions, specifications, and production documentation.

• Quality-focused mindset with strong attention to detail.

• Understanding of manufacturing safety practices and proper use of PPE.

• Ability to work effectively in a production environment involving chemicals, metal parts, processing equipment, and industrial machinery.

• Dependable and willing to work occasional overtime, including weekends when necessary.
