Job Description
Vector's partner is in need of a Quality Assurance Inspector! You would ensure that products meet predefined standards and meet and/or exceed customer expectations. Duties may include measuring products compared to their intended physical specifications, running quality tests, and identifying defects. Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.
1st Shift - (6a-2:30p)
Responsibilities:
- Ensures all product quality specifications are met by inspecting samples from each lot for defects.
- Train and observe employees while using measuring equipment, ensuring such equipment is in good condition, calibrated, and is being used properly.
- Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement verifications; and rejecting unacceptable materials.
- Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement verifications; communicating rejection issues per company procedures.
- Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement verifications.
- Documents of inspection results by completing inspection reports and rejecting documents as required.
- Inspects assemblies for completeness and accuracy; performs final checks on completed products.
- Perform calibrations to the measuring equipment as per the annual calibration plan.
- Perform LPA (Layered Process Audits) to the production floor as programmed.
- High school diploma or GED required, technical or trade school preferred
- Ability to use hand-held tools and electronic devices to perform job duties, including micrometers, calipers, and Torque Wrenches.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Must have the ability to read assembly drawings and follow directions.
- Basic ability with Microsoft Office (word processor and excel), Google Drive Documents and computer applications.
- Electrical assembly experience
- Experience in an ISO 9001:2015 manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Must be able to stand for extended time periods, up to the entire shift.
- Ability to bend, squat, kneel, or climb a stepladder
