Job Description

Vector's partner is in need of a Robotic Weld Operator who would be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining robotic welding equipment to produce high-quality welded components. This role ensures production goals are met while following safety standards, quality requirements, and operational procedures.

1st Shift - $25/hr. 
2nd/Weekend Shift - $26/hr. 

Responsibilities:

  • Operate robotic welding cells to meet daily production targets.
  • Load, position, and secure materials or components into fixtures for robotic welding.
  • Monitor weld quality and make minor adjustments to robot settings as needed.
  • Perform routine inspections, cleaning, and basic maintenance on welding robots and related equipment.
  • Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of welded parts using gauges, calipers, and other measuring tools.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions.
  • Identify and report equipment for malfunctions, quality issues, or safety concerns.
  • Assist with robot program adjustments under the guidance of a technician or engineer.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
  • Follow all safety policies, including PPE requirements and lockout/tagout procedures
Qualifications:

Required
  • Previous experience in welding, robotic welding, or manufacturing strongly preferred.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent credential required.
  • Basic understanding of MIG welding processes and equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols.
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with automated machinery.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.

Preferred

  • Experience operating Fanuc, ABB, or Motoman/Yaskawa robotic welding systems.
  • Basic troubleshooting or programming knowledge.
  • AWS welding certification (a plus but not required).
  • Forklift or overhead crane experience.
