Vector Technical has partnered with a company located in Solon, Ohio, who is looking to add a CNC Machinist to their team! 

2nd Shift  
$33.69/hr. + $.35 shift diff = $34.04/hr.

The ideal candidate will have prior Programming experience.

Responsibilities:

• Lays out, fabricates and inspects a wide variety of regular machine shop work, setting up and operating all tool room and machine shop equipment such as milling machines, lathes, grinder, heat treating equipment. Uses Depth MC's, thickness gauges, electronic measuring devices; works to close tolerances and from blueprints, designs, specifications and written or verbal instruction; makes and assembles a wide variety of machine shop products, involving dissimilar, moving and interchangeable parts for plant equipment and production machines. Directs the activities of Apprentices and Machinist "B" and assists them as required. This work includes such duties as:
  • Lays out a wide variety of regular (non-complex) machine shop work involving fitting and assembling of parts.
  • Determines method and sequence of machine and hand operations
  • Selecting appropriate speeds, feeds, coolants, in accordance with nature of operation and type of material used.
• Sets up machine tools, grind cutting and forming tools and mounts tools in machine.
• Operates machine tools by performing tasks such as the following:
  • Positions work piece in chuck, vise, jug or other holding device and aligns or trues part using indicators as necessary.
  • Starts machine into operation and positions cutting tool by turning hand wheels, manipulating levers, etc.
  • Engages automatic feeds to turn, face drill, bore, shape, etc., to required work periodically using vernier, micrometer or spring calipers to assure conformance to specifications stipulated by blueprint or required by the nature of the next operation.
• Fabricates tools, cutters and gauges according to blueprint specifications, as required, by shaping, grinding, etc., for proper clearance and fit.
• Determines order of operations
• Performs preventive maintenance on machinery
• Maintains green inventory
• Programs CNC rnachines
• Write programs
• Final inspects machined parts
