Job Description
Vector Technical has partnered with a leading manufacturer and distributor in Eastlake, Ohio who is looking for a Buffer/Polisher!
Positions are available on these shifts!
1st Shift 6:15am – 2:45pm (M-F)Â
Pay Range:Â $20 - $23/hr., depending upon skills.

Responsibilities:
- Using an appropriate air wheel, rough buff all assigned component parts.  These operations are performed, while standing, by applying parts (weighing up to 8 lbs.) at various angles (by hand) against rotating
- buffing wheels.
- Using an appropriate combination of single section buffing wheels, pocket buff to buff brass parts (weighing up to 8 lbs.). Must be able to hand manipulate parts on the rotating buffing wheel(s) to buff the entire part.Â
- Single buff assembled and individual parts. These operations are performed, while standing, by applying each part section at various angles to a rotating buffing wheel.
- Buffing compounds are routinely applied to the rotating buffing wheels. These operations require employees to set-up the lathe and corresponding buffing wheels and may require several wheel changes.
- Large trays of parts (up to 30 lbs.) must be moved to and from assigned work locations.
- Following the assigned buffing operations, components must be able to be assembled without further surface refinement.
- Required to maintain an appropriate, clean, and safe work environment.
- Regular Attendance.
- Manufacturing Process Aptitude.
- Requires a high degree of skill and dexterity.
- Ability to make sound judgment based on consistent and objective measures.
- Position requires extended periods of standing with the ability to hold and maneuver component parts at a variety of angles for extended periods.
- Ability to use a variety of hand tools, related manufacturing equipment and material handling equipment.
- Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment.
