Job Description
Our client in Euclid, OH, designs and manufactures engineered products that satisfy the rigorous requirements of the aerospace industry. They are in need of a Pump Repair Technician to join their successful operation.
1st Shift
Pay is dependent upon experience
Job Summary:
In this position you will assemble, test, repair, overhaul, and trouble shoot pumps.
Responsibilities:
- Follow written and verbal instructions accurately including sketches, drawings, engineered work instructions, and original equipment manufacturer's instructions
- Use a variety of hand-held power and non-power tools (wrenches, pliers, screw drivers, drills, and laser markers) as well as different measuring devices to determine specific dimensions (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
- Disassembly, diagnosis, and reassembly of components used on various airplane platforms
- Understand the basic theory of pumps, hydraulics, plumbing, controls and test setups
- Conducts planning, execution, and documentation of tests such as; preparation of test articles, test planning/set-up, documents results according to internal, customer, and potential government requirements
- Inspect work for completion and quality to company, customer, and manufacturer standards
- Use PC-based software to enter in database during tear down and evaluation of the returned products
- Work well independently to complete tasks and follow a schedule
- Performs other related duties as required and may be assigned
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant experience, preferred 2+ years’ experience with pump assemblies
- An understanding of pumps and the aerospace industry is preferred
- Experience reading and interpreting assembly drawings, schematics, and other manufacturing documentation
- Demonstrated ability to show up on-time, be dedicated to the job, and work overtime as required
- Proficient in using powered and non-powered tools, standard precision gages, and measurement equipment
- Basic computer skills
- Applicant will be required to obtain an FAA Repairman Certificate during employment
- HS diploma or equivalent or Tech School Certificate
