Job Description
Vector Technical has partnered with an established, growing company in Willoughby, Ohio looking for a 3D Design Engineer to join their team!
Direct Hire
M-F 8a -5p
$50k - $80k.yr., depending on experience
Skills Required:
- Excellent communication skills using a customer service attitude
- An ability to work well in a team environment
- Proficient use in AutoCAD & 3D software (either Inventor or SolidWorks)
- 2 or 4-year mechanical engineering degree preferred but not required
- Sound knowledge of design and engineering principles and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Job Description:
- Design and engineer custom conveyor systems for industrial automation applications using CAD & 3D Inventor software
- Initiate project kickoff meeting with in-house estimator and the customers engineering team
- Create mechanical drawings, make routine revisions, and secure the customer drawing approval
- Manage the communication between the in-house team and the customer throughout the design & engineering of these designs
- Ensure that the customer is constantly aware of project timelines & final ship date
- Release job to production and provide ongoing support on an as-needed basis throughout production & final assembly
