Job Description

Vector's client located in Ashtabula, OH serves the construction, plumbing and excavation trades by providing them with quality pipe tools.  They have need of Assemblers to join their successful team!

1st Shift 8a-4:40p
$17-$20/hr., depending upon experience and skills

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for assembling precision parts and machines, using various hand tools and machinery.

Responsibilities:
• Pulling parts and set up the assembly based on work orders for the day 
• Assemble products using hands with utilizing various tools and equipment 
• Perform quality check procedures for completed products based on guidance set by the Company 
• Understand mechanical aspect of products 
• Perform repair work for returned products 
• Support and train junior or new employees to improve their skills and efficiency 
• Support engineering to improve products by modifying process and/or materials 
• Report defective parts and products 
• Maintain clean, safe and orderly work area and equipment 
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned 

Requirements:
• At least five years work experience in plant or shop with production/assembly is required  
• Knowledge in various hand tools, electric tools, production equipment is required 
• High School Diploma or GED required 
• Must be self-motivated, team player, result-oriented and driven with a high level of initiative. 
• Ability to multi-task. 
• Demonstrates the ability to work as a team member. 
• Must have good oral and written communications skills.
