Job Description
Our client, a manufacturer of pneumatic tools, in Willoughby OH, is seeking a motivated individual for their Assembly and Repair position!
1st Shift
$22/hr.
Job Description:
Assemble new tools and subassemblies as needed to fill customer orders, and repair tools sent in by customers for repair, by performing the duties described below. Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to define problems, collect data and draw valid conclusions. The individual must have the ability to understand and interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with program problems. The individual must be able to communicate effectively with others.
You must be able to lift 70+ lbs.
Education and Experience High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or 3 years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Description:
Assemble new tools and subassemblies as needed to fill customer orders, and repair tools sent in by customers for repair, by performing the duties described below. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assemble all tools and subassemblies as needed for customer orders. Verify that tools are operating to specifications as set out by engineering, and have all accessories and safety features required by company for that individual tool. Able to use tachometers and dynamometers as appropriate to insure tools are operating to specifications.
- Report any shortages or potential shortages of parts in the approved manner.
- Repair any tools that come in for repair. Insure that repaired tools are clean, operating correctly, and meet all safety requirements before sending back to the customer.
- Communicate to engineering any quality or design issues that arise based on wear or breakage of repair tools.
- Repair returned tools to new condition, or strip them for any usable parts or subassemblies.
- Communicate quotes, maintenance issues, and safety concerns with customers when performing repairs. File needed paperwork for repairs so billing and record keeping can be maintained.
- Use calipers, micrometers and other inspection equipment. Read and understand schematic and dimensional drawings. Inspect new and repair parts to insure that they meet specifications as set by engineering. Inspect parts that do not work correctly, compare them to current parts prints, and be able to Advise engineering or manufacturing as to specific problems with parts.
- Return unused parts, tools and assemblies to inventory correctly, neatly and accurately.
- Identify all parts in inventory. Put parts away into inventory as needed.
- Restock parts bins from overstock as needed.
- Strive to improve assembly times and quality for subassemblies and tools.
- Assist others in assembly or repair as needed.
- Deburr parts as necessary.
- Keep work area, part storage, and surrounding areas clean and safe.
- Assist with shipping and receiving, loading, unloading and deliveries as needed.
- Support positive work environment.
