Boiler and Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:
The Boiler Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of boiler systems. In addition to boiler-specific tasks, the technician will also perform general maintenance duties, ensuring that equipment and systems run smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Boiler Maintenance & Repair:
- Inspect, maintain, and repair all types of boilers, ensuring they operate at optimal efficiency.
- Perform routine safety checks and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues with boilers.
- Conduct regular testing, cleaning, and servicing of boiler systems to meet industry standards.
- Monitor and adjust boiler pressure, temperature, and other system parameters as needed.
- Installation:
- Assist with the installation of new boiler systems and components.
- Ensure proper alignment, fitting, and installation of all equipment, following manufacturer's instructions and local codes.
- Maintenance Tasks:
- Perform basic maintenance tasks on HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical equipment, ensuring all systems are functioning properly.
- Replace worn or damaged parts, such as seals, pumps, and valves, and ensure the safe operation of all equipment.
- Clean, lubricate, and maintain various equipment to ensure longevity and proper functionality.
- Other tasks and responsibilities are subject to change as per Manager.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate service records and provide detailed reports on all tasks performed, including repairs and maintenance schedules.
- Update maintenance logs and assist in creating preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with local regulations, codes, and safety guidelines.
- Adhere to all environmental, health, and safety regulations while performing tasks.
- Customer Service:
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain technical issues, maintenance requirements, and service recommendations.
- Provide excellent customer service by ensuring systems are operating efficiently and answering any client questions.
- Proven experience as a Boiler Technician or in a similar maintenance role.
- Knowledge of boiler systems, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Complete understanding of safety procedures, local codes, and regulations.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and on ladders and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Certification in HVAC, plumbing, or related field is a plus.
