CNC Setup Operator
Job Description
Vector Technical has partnered with a leading manufacturer and distributor of musical instruments for student, amateur, and professional use in Eastlake, Ohio who is looking for CNC Setup Operators!
Positions are available on these shifts!
2nd shift 2:45pm – 1:15am (M-F) at $23.51/hr. to start plus $1.50 shift diff - $25.01/hr.
3rd shift 8:15pm – 6:45am (S-Th) at $23.51/hr. to start plus $2 shift diff - $25.51/hr.
Some OT is required every other Saturday.
Responsibilities:
- This position sets-up and operates the CNC drilling machine, drilling holes in valve case and piston blanks.
- Required to set-up, operate and maintain all machine components in order to avoid producing defective parts.
- Properly and carefully handle all instruments and components.
- Routinely inspects assigned work to ensure compliance with established job standards.
- Complies with all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Must be capable of retrieving, adapting, programming, and executing various job programs on the computer, in addition to other mechanical set-ups and adjustments.
- Verify all dimensions with plug gauges and mics and ensure proper finish through visual inspection.
- Set-up drills, hole saws, or other perishable or non-perishable tooling.
- Load and unload machine with valve case or piston blanks, and execute all prescribed machine procedures for each assigned job.
- The correct specifications, for each assigned operation, must be maintained. Any void in specification must be identified, and either corrected, evaluated and/or corrected by the employee responsible for the set-up.
Requirements:
- Required to maintain an appropriate, clean, and safe work environment.
- Manufacturing Process Aptitude.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Ability to make sound judgment based on consistent and objective measures.
- Regular attendance is critical.
