Vector Technical has partnered with a leading global adhesives manufacturer in need of Finishing Material Handlers to join their busy team!
The Material Handler is responsible for the movement of material throughout the site. This may include loading/unloading of trailers and movement of raw materials using forklift, work in process, and finished goods.
Contract position - If the candidate fits in well, there will be an opportunity to bid into a a permanent position. Â
$18/hr. to start. Substantial raise in hourly pay if hired to a permanent position.
B-Shift:Â 3:20p - 11:30p
C-Shift:Â 11:20p - 7:30a
Responsibilities:
Raw/Finishing warehouse:
Pick up and transfer material racks, pallets, and other consumable supplies to/from production areas as required.
Condense warehouse space and maintain good housekeeping

Job Description

The Material Handler is responsible for the movement of material throughout the site. This may include loading/unloading of trailers and movement of raw materials using forklift, work in process, and finished goods.

B-Shift:Â 3:20p - 11:30p
C-Shift:Â 11:20p - 7:30a
Responsibilities:
- Move material to/from raw, WIP, Finished, Shipping, Receiving, and manufacturing areas.
- Unload/load trucks/tankers with incoming/outgoing materials. - Verify materials against receiving/shipping documents.
- Complete appropriate transactions to document the movement of material within the Inventory Management System.
- Support inventory accuracy:
- Complete warehouse and departmental cycles counts and correct discrepancies
- Help manage winding drum and rack inventories
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) or 3+ years of relevant manufacturing work experience.
- Forklift experience - will be using sit down forklift for about 60% of the shift
- Must be able to follow written and oral instruction.
Preferred Requirements:
- 3-5+ year’s previous material handling experience.
