HVAC Estimator
Job Description
$50k/yr., or based on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Understands contract service requirements for all clients.
- Maintains excellent customer and contractor relations.
- Gathers all required information in order to effectively and efficiently produce accurate quotes that fall within gross profit parameters and contract limitations.
- Maintains an HVAC quote file for reference by authorized associates requiring information.
- Reviews all quoting activities on a daily basis to ensure all required quotes have been prepared and distributed and that all approved quotes have been relayed to the appropriate contractors.
- Provides HVAC technical training to associates, as required. Effectively utilizes technician (field) level experience to support training to all personnel.
- Provides system training to associates as required.
- Attends meetings and contributes ideas and resolutions.
- Attends any required meetings or conference calls with sales associates to provide technical advice, technical input on potential scope development input, and pricing recommendations.
- Maintains a high degree of professionalism and a positive attitude in order to assure good relations with all parties, internal and external.
- Actively seeks methods to improve the department efficiency and profitability.
- Pursues educational options which may periodically arise that will positively impact the performance of the duties herein and as agreed to by the Vice President of Operations.
- Maintains an orderly workspace allowing others to easily obtain information that might be required in the absence of the employee.
- Maintains a regular and punctual attendance record.
- Adheres to all policies set forth in Company Handbook.
- Performs any other related duties which might be assigned by the Customer Service Supervisor.
- Five (5) years of field-level installation experience in the HVAC and Refrigeration industry.
- Five (5) years of technician level (on site in the field) estimating experience, interacting successfully with customers directly and working as a liaison between the employer and the customer.
