Hourly pay rate:Â $17.41/hr. with incremental raisesÂ
Responsibilities:
- Maintain grounds through landscaping, litter removal, snow/ice control, and field preparation.
- Perform a variety of physical tasks to support maintenance, construction, or operational activities which involve lifting, carrying, cleaning, and other manual labor.
- Operate and maintain a variety of maintenance tools, equipment, vehicles, and machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
- Assemble, dismantle, and transport items as well as provide support for school events and activities.
- Assume responsibility, care, and maintenance of all Board of Education materials and equipment assigned to the employee.
- Promote and observe good safety habits that comply with health, safety, and building codes.
- Any other duties assigned by the Supervisor of Custodial/Maintenance; including, but not limited to, custodial duties, emergency repairs/moves, etc.

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively with customers and employees.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to deal with a variety of problems.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Valid driver’s license.
