Job Description
Vector's partner in Medina, OH has been in the manufacturing business for well over 100 years. They are looking for the right fit to fill their role of Manager of Maintenance and Safety Systems.

Salary:Â $90k-$100k/yr., depending upon experience

SUMMARY
Responsible for the mechanical reliability and efficiency of production processes; ongoing maintenance and upkeep of the facilities; and the effective operation of the Company’s fire and security systems.
Responsibilities
Production:
- Directly supervise the maintenance work force.
- Plan and schedule maintenance work load.
- Coordinate efforts with production groups.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems with equipment and processes to keep production running.
- Perform clerical activities relating to employee time cards, scheduling, and work order backlog reports.
- Maintain equipment spare parts inventory and stockroom.
- Utilize and train team on all relevant aspects of Productivity, Quality, Learning and Reliability Modules.
Process Improvement:
- Work collaboratively with the Engineering and Quality teams to identify and implement process and equipment changesÂ
- Determine new/additional equipment requirementsÂ
Safety:
- Oversee the maintenance of the fire and security systems.
- Responds first to all burglar/fire alarms as well as general plant problems.
- Eliminates safety hazards as they arise.
- Provides safety training and development and ensures compliance to all safety programs, policies, lock-out/tag-out, burning and cutting permits, etc.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Technical Field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical or maintenance role within a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
- Able to prioritize and manage responsibilities of the role.
- Able to develop and train personnel as required.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple functions and groups.
- Strong interpersonal and team skills.
- Strong oral and written communications skills.
- Strong computer skills.
