Job Description
Vector's partner located in Willoughby is the largest custom roll former in the US, serving wide range of industries.
They currently have openings for Material Handlers.
**You must have forklift experience to be considered for this opportunity!**
Available Shifts:
1st Shift: M-F 6a-2:30p $17.50+/hr., depending upon experience.
2nd Shift: Mon-Thur. 3p-1:30a $19.50+/hr. (includes shift diff), depending upon experience and skills
Direct Hire may be a possibility for this position
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the daily processing and movement of products through the factory.

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the daily processing and movement of products through the factory.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklift for routine established work, must be licensed. Lift and move 5-10,000 lbs. regularly.
- Always follow the safe operation of all equipment and follow safety guidelines.
- Capable of making routine decisions and use problem-solving to resolve basic banding and packaging issues or seek assistance from a supervisor.
- Report and correctly document Bill of Lading, incoming steel, out-going finished product and safely and properly load and unload trucks.
- Perform equipment preventative maintenance checks daily on equipment and turn in reports promptly.
- Package parts according to company standardized banding procedures.
- Band bundles standardized banding procedures to meet customer requirements.
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge and understanding of material handling including all safety guidelines.
- Competency in basic shop math.
- Ability to work with various types of metal forming constraints with guidance.
- Flexible and responsive with a strong teamwork orientation. Teamwork and communication between shifts is mandatory!
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong orientation toward quality, safety and continuous improvement.
