Mechanical Design Drafter

$75-$80k/yr. Pay is dependent upon experience, and open for discussion.
** This is not a remote position. You will be on-site in the manufacturing facility in Solon, OH, and so must live within a commutable distance of Solon. **
Job Summary:
Prepares detailed drawings and pattern designs using CAD tools.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Designs frameworks for a project and creates detailed design documentations.Â
- Reads and interprets blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports to ensure drawings meet product design goals.
- Participate in design of new products in cooperation with a design team consisting of engineers, other designers and lab technicians.
- Suggests improvement to the product, based on initial design.
- Aids in the selection of materials for the products.

Requirements:
- SolidWorks 3D. Parts, assemblies, PDM etc. High proficiency is desirable
- BS Mechanical Engineering
 - Familiar with ASME drawing standards, GD+T
- Experience working with press tooling and / or molds
- Experience in a manufacturing industry
- Experience designing fixtures
- Metrology – familiar with calipers, micrometers, flatness measurement
- Autocad 2-D familiarity will be useful
- Experience with P+ID creation a plus (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams)Â
