Job Description

Vector's partner in Perry, Ohio produces high precision polymer concrete castings and precision machine grouts and fillers for the machine tool, instrumentation, semi-conductor and other industries.   They are in need of a Mold Technician  to join their team!

1st Shift (7AM-3:30PM)
$18/hr.

Position Overview:
This position will be responsible for working on and maintaining a variety of customer molds.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning, preparing (waxing), and assembling the molds prior to part pour.
  • Pouring the part and removing the part when cured from the mold.
  • Assisting other production areas in preparing parts to ship to the customer on-time.
  • Growing in production capabilities by cross-training in other production areas.
  • Cleaning and maintaining organized work areas.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Can work in a team-oriented environment
  • Can follow simple directions
  • Has basic mechanical aptitude: read a tape measure and use basic hand tools
  • Has basic shop floor math skills
  • Able to lift 40 - 50 pounds
  • Can operate a fork-lift a plus (+)
  • Can read mechanical drawings / prints a plus (+)
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality

Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Shop floor / manufacturing experience a plus (+)
