Job Description

Vector's aerospace partner is a major manufacturer in Eastlake, OH. They are in search of an NDT Level 1 X-Ray Associate to join their growing team!

1st Shift  7a-3p   $18/hr. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Take radiographic images of castings.
  • Develop film in the processor.
  • Perform specific tests and calibrations and document the           results in accordance with specific procedures.
  • Assure parts are properly processed to the applicable QEI.
  • Record all work performed in Lot Control System.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime when required for shipment purposes.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that is in harmony with customers, clients, co-workers, and supervisors.  
  • Comply with all applicable Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Perform all other duties assigned by supervision.
  • Adheres to plant and department safety rules.
  • Safely operates all equipment and tools.
  • Identifies and reports safety problems.
  • Wears dosimeter.
  • Meets all production and quality standards.
  • May provide training and work direction to trainees.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to read, follow and interpret instructions on QEI’s.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Pass annual eye exam.
  • High School Graduate.
  • Physical ability to perform the essential job functions.
  • Computer and keyboarding skills required.
  • Training is provided on the job.
  • 40 hours classroom training.
  • Must pass written test.
  • Demonstrate proficiency of applicable procedure instructions.
  • Meet or exceed defined Visual Acuity (when required).
  • Meet color perception standards needed in performance of job requirements (when required).
  • Additional training to comply with applicable SOP/Certifications (when required).
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder).
