Boiler Service Sales Position

Direct Hire
Pay range will vary based on experience, and is between $30-$32/hr.
There are also quarterly commissions, once training is complete
Job Summary:
This position requires field service on commercial/industrial boiler and burner systems in Northern Ohio. This includes natural gas and fuel oil combustion testing, adjusting of the fuel/air ratio on various boilers, burners, ovens, and incinerators, while using an electronic combustion analyzer in addition to other customer boiler service needs.Â
Responsibilities:
- Desirable candidate should possess specific knowledge of industrial/commercial steam and hot water boilers, and auxiliary equipment.
- Familiar with all forms of flame safeguards and the use of VOM's and other troubleshooting tools. Â
- Quote associated controls.Â
- Quote replacement, and modifications to customer’s boiler room equipment. Â
- Develops relationships with vendors.Â
- Maintains awareness of trends affecting equipment market.Â
- Follows up on projects that have not been completed i.e. open Work Orders that salesperson has quoted.Â
- Follows up on additional parts or service work needed that are listed on service tickets and job estimates.Â
- Issues purchase orders to service technicians on salesmen’s projects.Â
- Provide quality service for all assigned tasks while upholding company core values at all times.Â
- Maintains department goals for profitability and efficiency.Â
- Quotes burner, control, and boiler upgrades.Â
- Negotiates service & equipment contracts.Â
- Develops relationships with customers.Â
- Responsible to attend service meetings and ongoing training.Â
- Oversees the completion of service projects from review of plans or request for quote, to project close out, ensuring all is done within budget and deadlines.Â
- Sells service contracts & water treatment agreements. Â
- Reviews open work order files weeklyÂ
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years field experience on boilers & burners. Â
- Boiler system’s operational knowledgeÂ
- Excellent organizational skills and working knowledge of the boiler trade. Â Â
- Experience in boiler upgrades which includes electrical, combustion, and refractory installation. Â
- Experience in burner controls which includes familiarity with Fireye, Honeywell, Siemens, & Autoflame flame safeguard controls and management systems.Â
- Be able to effectively communicate with customers, employees & vendors Â
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work responsibilities. Â
- Ability to work independently and to instruct others.Â
- Ability to sell and manage projects.Â
- Diverse troubleshooting & problem-solving skills.Â
- Understanding of administrative processes.Â
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook required.Â
- Possess a high degree of oral & written communication skills.Â
- A positive attitude and desire to be part of a winning team.Â
- Ability to follow schematics, piping diagrams, and blueprints. Â Â
- Visit customer sites. Â Â
- Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction.Â
- Identify, analyze, diagnose, and repair systems and products at customer’s location.Â
- Flexibility to work after hours/weekends as necessary.Â
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.Â
- Participation in on-going training to enhance knowledge and skills. Â Â
- Keep current on the installation, operation, service, and repair of represented products.Â
