Job Description
Vector Technical has partnered with a company in Mentor, Ohio that manufactures precision tight tolerance small medical parts. We are seeking a motivated individual for a Parts Inspector role for a 3 month contract with a possible opportunity to move into a machining role. This is a hands-on role working both on the production floor and at inspection benches. No prior inspection experience is required — we will provide full training for candidates who bring the right attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to learn. Â
1st Shift - 7a-3:30p with some required Overtime (must be able to work 50 hrs./wk. including 1/2 day on Saturdays.
2nd Shift - 3p-12a with some required Overtime (must be able to work 50 hrs./wk. including 1/2 day on Saturdays.
$20/hr.
Responsibilities:
•   Perform first piece parts inspection using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
•   Learn to interpret and follow blueprints to verify part specifications
•   Conduct visual inspections to identify surface defects and determine pass/fail results
•   Carry out bench inspections including testing and detailed documentation of results
•   Inspect production floor parts to ensure compliance with quality standards
•   Accurately record and document test results and inspection outcomes
•   Follow established procedures and maintain quality assurance standards
Requirements:
•   Willingness to learn new skills and undergo training in inspection methods and tools
•   Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify small variations or defects
•   Ability to follow written instructions, blueprints, and standard operating procedures
•   Reliable, punctual, and committed to high-quality work
•   Comfortable working in a production environment and adapting to changing priorities
•   Must be open to working significant overtime as required
Work Environment & Schedule:
• Combination of production floor inspections and bench testing
• Hands-on training provided for all inspection tools and processes
• Overtime opportunities available and frequently required
