Job Summary:
The Press PM Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, repair and day to day activities on the production floor regarding the Safety, installation, and functional continuous improvement of new and existing equipment and related machinery in support of efficient and effective manufacturing and business operations. Candidates will be comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively while being a positive reflection of corporate values.Â
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•   Demonstrate problem solving skills by identifying root causes of problems and work to correct them.Â
•   Drives daily Tier actions.
•   Develop and drive work order system through IQMS
•   Identify or be aware of, troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and upgrade manufacturing equipment with particular focus on hydraulics, electrical and mechanical operations by identifying root causes and issues.Â
•   Provides support on the installation as well as the day to day activity of new robots and automation.
•   Participate and assist in the maintenance of all company property including but not limited to manufacturing equipment, presses, buildings, grounds, and others as necessary.
•   Perform basic maintenance functions to the facility including but not limited to changing light bulbs, simple plumbing repairs, cleaning and painting, cleaning and repair of windows, doors and grounds, and others as needed.
•   Complete monthly preventive maintenance (PM) activities and contribute to the overall value of the PM program by identifying opportunities for improvement and expansion of PM activities.Â
•   Provide support for press repairs during production runs, new products on existing equipment.
•   Provides support fabricating press/machine guards and part containment per OSHA and ANSI standards.
•   Perform necessary modifications to existing and new equipment.
•   Wearing and unwavering support of the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is a high priority.
•   Demonstrate proficient and safe use of all power and hand tools.
•   Operate tow motor and scissor lift as needed in a safe manner following all rules and regulations.
•   Demonstrate problem solving skills by identifying root causes of problems and work to correct them.Â
•   Identify and engage in activities that reduce scrap and lower down time.
•   Maintain maintenance areas in accordance with housekeeping guidelines, GMP, 5-S, and SAFE audit guidelines.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
•   Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds on a regular basis. (Depending on job performed at times this will exceed specified amount).
•   Some experience with plastic injection molding production and assembly equipment.
•   Established fabrication skills.
•   Working knowledge of OSHA guidelines and a sharp focus on safety.  Operate all equipment in a safe and effective manner.
•   Ability to read, comprehend and retain information.  Basic mathematical aptitude and skills.
•   Ability to read electrical and mechanical blueprints and schematics.
•   Tactful, courteous, polite, patient, and professional at all times.
•   Good interpersonal, communication and organization skills.
•   Proactive problem solver.
•   Very good organization, follow-up and time management skills along with the ability to effectively multi-task.
•   A high level of trustworthiness and the ability to achieve integrity on all levels.
•   Professional image; neat clean uniforms.
•   Self-motivated and self-disciplined.

I graduated from The University of Akron in 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in mass communication with a concentration on radio and TV. Prior to joining Vector Technical Inc., I spent time working as a radio personality/intern for Q104’s morning show, Fee’s Kompany in the Morning. From there, I spent a season working as an in-arena host for the Lake Erie Monsters (Cleveland Hockey Team). In 2013, I had the opportunity to work for WHNT News 19 in Huntsville, Alabama (Fox 8 Sister Station) as an interactive content reporter/producer.
Outside the office, I enjoy cooking, traveling, running, photography, crafting, concerts, and spending time with my family and friends.
