Vector's partner located in Bedford Heights, OH, has been at the forefront of infrared combustion technology since 1957, boasting expertise in consumer heating products as well as heavy duty commercial and construction heating products.Â
They have a Quality Tech position available for immediate fill.
1st Shift M-F 7a-3:30p
$17/hr. to start.
Eligible for a raise upon hire-in.
Description of Job:
The Quality Technician I is to follow proper procedures, complete inspections and report results as required in a timely manner. Works in Quality department as part of a team to support and maintain the Quality objectives of the department and EGI

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- To perform inspections using Work Instruction for component or product.
- Basic reporting of daily inspections and findings
- Able to learn and follow AQL
- Use basic measurement equipment
- Able to maintain requirements against outside influence
- Willing to do additional work as needed.
- Assure nonconformance’s are isolated
- Any additional work as required by Quality Manager
- Performs fire testing on various heater products that can weigh up to 50 lbs.
Requirements:
- High School graduate or GED equivalent
- Previous work experience in Quality or Engineering a plus
- Must be dependable, willing to learn, accurate, demonstrate initiative and work well with others
- Mechanical aptitude is preferred
- Must be able to work independently and carry out testing or inspection requirement according to requirements
- Able to read prints and use or learn to use necessary measurement or testing equipment
- Able to read and write English at a high school graduate level
- Comfortable using propane, kerosene, natural gas or high voltage in the process for testing heaters
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to pass drug test - including nicotine test
