Job Description
Vector's partner located in Willoughby is the largest custom roll former in the US, serving wide range of industries.
They are in need of Shift Supervisors on both 1st and 2nd Shift.
1st Shift: M-F 6a-2:30p
2nd Shift: M-Th 3p-1:30a (10-hr shifts)
$23-$25/hr., depending upon experience and skills
Direct Hire may be a possibility for this position

Position Summary:
To ensure the safe and efficient operation in their area of responsibility.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and direct shift on production efficiency, maximum machine utilization, and minimum downtime
- Oversee quality of product produced
- Conduct first part inspection if quality tech is unavailable
- Responsible for ensuring maintenance and housekeeping of plant, production facilities, and equipment
- Train new employees as to their job function and coach employees to manage their work properly
- Provide proper paper documentation to the operators for their various scheduled jobs
- Assist in set up and instruction as needed
- Enforce all rules and regulations set forth by the company
- Demonstrate, enforce, and ensure health and safety policies and procedures are adhered to by employees
- Attend necessary pre and post shift planning meetings coordinating information with other shifts
- Trouble shoot problems when necessary
- Consult higher authority in case of unsolvable problems or emergencies
- Monitor parts/hour coming off of mills and complete daily production charts
- See that all labor report sheets are being filled out correctly and turned in at end of shift
- Enforce work hours on shop floor, including breaks, lunch and clean up time
Requirements:
- Requires prior supervision of a manufacturing plant.
- This position requires reading, writing and math skills similar to those obtained through a high school education or equivalent.
- Must have working knowledge of all mills, presses, and equipment in their area of responsibility.
- Formal training may be considered as substitution for experience requirements. Basic computer skills and the ability to read blueprints and schematics will also contribute to success in this position as well as good written and oral communication skills.
