Job Description
Are you detail-oriented and mechanically inclined? A trusted partner of Vector Technical Inc. located in Mentor, Ohio, is seeking a dedicated Shipment Prep associate for their manufacturing facility. This vital role supports the packing, inspection, and preparation of equipment in the mobile food service industry, ensuring high-quality products reach customers efficiently.
1st Shift: 5:50 AM – 2:30 PM
$19.00 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Prepare products for shipment by shrink-wrapping and applying protective measures against damage
- Perform visual inspections of sheet metal and other components
- Clean and maintain product quality standards using hand tools and machinery
- Label products accurately for inventory and shipping purposes
- Use pneumatic tools and machinery to assist in preparation tasks
- Drill, buff welds, and perform minor repairs or adjustments
- Pack finished products securely for delivery
- Read and follow manufacturing documents and instructions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area
- Meet production goals while ensuring quality and safety standards
Requirements:
- Mechanically inclined with experience using hand and pneumatic tools
- Ability to read manufacturing instructions and BOMs (Bill of Materials)
- Physical strength to lift up to 60 lbs. regularly
- Basic shop math skills for measurements and calculations
- Hand dexterity and endurance to stand and bend for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork and production tasks
- Prior experience with pneumatic tools and machinery preferred
