Shipping Associate
Job Description
1st Shift (7:30a - 4:00p)
$18/hr.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Pull stock and prepare outbound domestic and international shipments according to shipping or customer specific instructions
• Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time with a high degree of accuracy
• Operate forklift and pallet jack for material handling
• Comply with safety, security, and shop requirements
• Ensures that fill-rate and error-free shipping objectives are met
• Maintains neat and orderly layout and arrangement for stock locations
• Assists with inventory accuracy through planned physical and cycle counts
• Other duties as assigned
ABILITIES, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
• 2-3 years of shipping related experience, preferably in manufacturing environment
• Basic understanding of computers, hardware and software is required
• Experience with Starship, UPS World-ship, and / or FedEx a plus
• Strong organizational skills, including time-management
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment
• Customer focused and team-oriented
• Able to stand for long periods
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• A pre-employment background check and drug screen is required
