Job Description
Vector Technical has partnered with a leading manufacturer and distributor of musical instruments for student, amateur, and professional use in Eastlake, Ohio who is looking for a Tool & Die Maker.
1st Shift
Pay Range:Â $22.10 - $28/hr., depending on skills
Plus $2/hr. Attendance Bonus!

Responsibilities:
- Must be able to assume tooling projects, fabricate ball out dies, bending blocks, mandrels, blanking/forming dies and related tooling. Â
- Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
- Comply with all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Maintain an exceptionally clean and orderly work area.
- Ability to study specifications and confer with shop personnel and supervisors to resolve design problems related to material characteristics, dimensional tolerances, service requirements and manufacturing procedures to minimize cost of tooling with production.
- Must be able to disassemble and repair blanking/forming dies and make modifications.
- Modify tool designs according to trial or production service data and to improve tool life or performance.
- Must be capable of operating gas and electric welding equipment.

Requirements:
- Four years’ experience as a toolmaker or at least eight years’ experience as a machinist.
- Journeyman Toolmaker or some equivalent preferred.
- Possess a strong knowledge of all tool room equipment and be willing and able to advance to new equipment and be willing and able to advance to new equipment and procedures within the tool room.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of factory tooling and operations.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
