Vector's partner in Willoughby, OH is a leading innovator in engineered heat treating, brazing and metal finishing solutions.  They are seeking MAINTENANCE MECHANICS!

Available Shifts:
1st Shift:  $30.50/hr. 
(base pay increases once tested out)
* This position could be offered as either a Direct Hire or as a Temp-to-Hire position, depending upon skills and experience *

Job Summary:
Install, maintain, and repair all furnaces and equipment in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and specifications, utilizing knowledge of mechanics and electricity. Maintain and repair plant building and structures. Install and troubleshoot buildings electrical systems and electronic equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, piping, refrigeration, and chemical systems on all equipment and buildings.
• Read and log all meters on equipment.
• Perform and document preventive maintenance on all meters, gauges, recorders, charts, filters, belts, grease fittings, quench oil levels, lubrication levels, thermocouple checks, furnace internals, furnace mechanisms, safety devices, etc. to maintain proper work performance and a longer working life.
• Install and move all equipment and systems using forklifts, hoists, etc.
• Fabricate tanks, fixtures, conveyors, furnaces, and other equipment using pipe threading machines, silver solder, hand tools, lifting platforms, etc.
• Install, repair, replace fire brick.
• Follow 5S program, lock out/tag out program and scissor lift program.

Qualifications:

• Requires a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Very strong mechanical thinking and reasoning required.
• Thorough knowledge of electrical systems and electronics, pipe fitting, instrumentation, temperature control devices, and welding.
• Ability to work through problems you have never seen before.
• Ability to change focus with minimal notification and remember to come back to finish incomplete projects.
• Self-motivated, fast, and hard working.
• Welding skills or the desire to learn welding.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen, this includes THC.
• Must be able to obtain a forklift certification.
