Vector's partner located in Mentor, Ohio, has been developing and manufacturing advanced silicone and hybrid products for thirty years for commercial, industrial, and residential construction applications.
They are in search of a Machine Operator to join their team.  The Machine Operator/Packager is responsible for the production and packaging of high-quality silicones, hybrid sealants, and adhesives.

** NOTE **
New Employees will begin their training as a Packager with the goal to transition into a Machine Operator.

1st Shift  M-Th  7a-5p; OT on Fridays as needed, 7a-3p
Up to $18/hr., depending upon skills

Responsibilities:

• Operates packaging machine, disassembles, cleans and reassembles the filling line; can assess and resolve minor issues associated with the filling line.
• Follows and executes production by utilizing the information provided on the schedule, in work instructions and by following established processes and procedures.
• Oversees quality checks per production schedule and/or work instructions.
• Prepares and prints labels for each job listed on the production schedule.
• Uses ERP scan gun to issue material, de-issue inventory and input production. 
• Ensures that the product is assembled properly and packaged according to customer specifications/work instructions.
• Completes paperwork to properly record information such as lot #'s, quantities produced and production dates.
• Changes drums of material in and out of the drum press, loads hoppers, empties packaging containers.
• Boxes filled packaging containers, tapes boxes, and loads boxes onto pallets.

• Reliable and consistent attendance is an essential function of this position.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Reading comprehension for batch sheets and standard operating procedures.
• Strong mechanical skills and understanding.
• Willingness to learn and take direction.
• Ability to work efficiently with others.
• Frequently lifts and moves up to 20 lbs. on a regular basis; occasionally lifts and moves up to 65 lbs. independently and with the assistance of a co-worker or equipment.
